Danny Case CFE Prep Scholarship
Long-time chapter and chapter board member, who has provided many years of significant contributions to advancing the anti-fraud training of anti-fraud professionals within Central Ohio and beyond.

Shannon Hiott CFE Prep Scholarship
A 29-year-old Fraud Investigator, based in Central Ohio, was a dedicated member of the ACFE and worked at Nationwide Financial. With a strong desire to combat fraud, she actively sought opportunities to educate herself by collaborating with various anti-fraud teams and absorbing all the educational resources provided by Nationwide. Over time, Shannon leveraged her knowledge to become an expert in anti-fraud operations. Recognizing the competitiveness of investigative roles, she took it upon herself to study and earn her CFE in 2021. Finally, in August 2023, Shannon fulfilled her career aspirations and became a Fraud Investigator at Nationwide Financial. Shannon’s determination and strong work ethic served as an inspiration to many. Despite her short time on the team, her passion and ambition matched that of her senior colleagues. Thanks to her background and education, Shannon was able to learn quickly and make valuable contributions. Sadly, Shannon’s life came to a tragic end later in August 2023. However, her legacy as a passionate fraud fighter will continue to live on.
