1. Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
Be currently enrolled (undergraduate or graduate) in a forensic accounting, fraud examination, business forensics, accounting, cybersecurity, or related program
Be in good academic standing (recommended minimum GPA: 3.0 or higher)
Demonstrate a serious interest in fraud examination or financial crime prevention
Be able to attend the full conference (or all required days)
2. Application Materials
Applicants must submit the following:
A. Application Form (fill out on registration form for this event)
Full name, major, academic year
Name of university
Student’s email address
Student’s phone number
B. Statement of Interest (500–750 words) (send email to BMAL1@centralohiocfe.com)
The statement should address:
Why the student is interested in fraud examination
How attending the conference will:
Enhance academic and career goals
Contribute to professional development
How the student plans to apply conference knowledge in coursework, internships, or career activities
Any prior involvement in fraud-related coursework, research, or organizations (e.g., ACFE, accounting clubs, cyber clubs)
3. Faculty Recommendation (send email to BMAL1@centralohiocfe.com)
One recommendation from a faculty member or program chair
Should address:
Academic performance
Professional maturity
Commitment to fraud-related studies
4. Professional Engagement Commitment
Recipients must agree to:
Attend all required conference sessions
Conduct themselves in a professional manner
Actively participate in sessions, networking events, and student programs
5. Post-Conference Deliverables (Required)Within 30 days of conference completion, recipients must submit: (send email to BMAL1@centralohiocfe.com)
A 2–3 page reflection paper summarizing key learning outcomes OR
A brief presentation to classmates, student organizations, or faculty
If the second option is chosen, recipient must provide an outling of the presentation to the contact at Central Ohio Chapter of ACFE
6. What is covered by the scholarship:
Registration fee
Lunch for the two days of the event
Recipient is responsible for travel and lodging, if required.

Applications will be evaluated based on:
Strength and clarity of the statement of interest
Demonstrated commitment to fraud studies
Professional potential and engagement
Completeness and quality of application materials
